Exploring the Future - Lean Manufacturing

This past Monday, Spectrum hosted another Chippewa County Explorer Program (CCEP) event. The focus this month was on Lean Manufacturing and included presenters from the UW-Stout Manufacturing Outreach Center (MOC).
CCEP is a new collaborative program between Chippewa County, the Chippewa County Economic Development Corporation, and the Boy Scouts of America to add an addition to the Scouts' Explorer Program, which provides hands-on career experiences to scouts starting at age 12.
Presenters from the UW-Stout MOC discussed the ideas behind Lean Manufacturing practices. They had the students split into teams and work through a manufacturing process by using legos to build airplanes. Students worked in teams in competition to apply the principles of Lean Manufacturing to their process.

Meet Our Territory Managers! March Edition

The first Wednesday of each month we are featuring one of our Territory Managers. This month you have a chance to get to know Jonathan Gray, Territory Manager for Florida and Georgia.

He finds Spectrum to be a standup American brand with industry leading products. “I’ve received an overwhelmingly positive response to the InVision Access table, as well as the new series of carts which are both beautiful and functional,” he added.
A product line where he sees opportunity for growth is our height adjustable lectern, as more markets require ADA compliance.
When he’s not travelling for work, you’ll fin…
