Quality Products and Customer Service

At Spectrum Industries, we believe that making a quality product matters to our customers. Having products that will outlast their users and are adaptable enough to be reused through multiple technology deployments, is what drives our innovation and desire to constantly strive to surpass our customers' expectations. Simply put, Spectrum furniture is made to last and perform for years.

Larry Lindenauer, territory manager with Spectrum in the New England region believes that product durability is one of Spectrum’s strongest selling points. “When I go to schools, they show me purchases from several years back that are still in great condition.”

Mark Dotson, territory manager with Spectrum in the Mid-Atlantic region agreed with this sentiment, stating that “it’s wonderful when demonstrating our products to prospects and customers at tradeshows and they say, ‘We love your products,’ or ‘We have been using Spectrum for years.’ It shows that I represent a reputable and highly regarded company.”

Listening to our customers is a business practice that Sue Emerson, territory manager of the northwest region, believes makes Spectrum tick. “We listen to our customers and incorporate their ideas into our new products. We want to hear about it if there’s a way to make something better.”

As part of this commitment to our customers, Spectrum has launched a new Product Registration program. Customers will find a Product Registration tag on new shipments (as shown on the left).

Meet Our Territory Managers! July Edition

One Wednesday each month we are featuring one of our Territory Managers. This month we're introducing you to Larry Lindenauer, Territory Manager of Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New York, Rhode Island, and Vermont.

Larry is fascinated by the historical significance of his territory, which covers all of New England and New York. “I enjoy going into the small New England towns and discovering the local history that ties into many of the colleges, which are among the oldest in the United States.”

Born in Brooklyn and graduating with a B.A. in Economics from the State University of New York at Stony Brook, Larry went on to gain valuable sales experience in the publishing and beverage industries for 25 years. “Having worked for industry leaders in other fields, I can confidently say that working for Spectrum continues that trend,” Larry said.

He believes that product durability is one of Spectrum’s strong selling points. “When I go to schools, they show me purchases from several years back that are still in great condition.” Leading with innovation also keeps Spectrum competitive. Today’s changing educational environments are requiring classrooms to work and flow differently than a decade ago. “With the adoption of common core testing, the need for our charging carts has really taken off,” Larry added.

He finds that customers appreciate Spectrum’s responsiveness and ability to provide solutions. “I don’t try to put the square peg into the round hole. By going to the schools, Spectrum can innovate as needed. Bringing a sample desk or lectern to the classroom gives the buyer the confidence that they made the correct choice.”

When he’s not travelling for work, Larry can be found at home in “apple country,” Modena, New York, with Sharon, his wife of 25 years. His two sons attend colleges in New York and Hull, England. As a firm believer in giving back to the community, Larry is a member of his town Zoning Board of Appeals.

New Product Spotlight: Flex Lecterns

What do you get when you cross a mobile device cart with a lectern?

Introducing the new Flex Lecterns, an innovative 2-in-1 solution that combines your instructor workstation and mobile device cart, all in one small footprint.

Taking the intelligent design of two of our mobile device carts, the Pro32 and Cloud40, and adding the functionality of Spectrum’s line of lecterns, a new line of Flex Lecterns has been developed. The versatile and powerful Pro32 Flex Lectern can store and charge a combination of 32 laptops, Chromebooks, and tablets up to 15.6”. Able to store more devices in a slightly smaller space, the Cloud40 Flex Lectern can store and charge a combination of 40 Chromebooks and tablets up to 14”.

“The Flex Lectern will eliminate the need for both a teacher lectern and mobile device cart to exist in the same environment saving on valuable space in classrooms that are often crowded with furniture,” said Robert Kensinger, Spectrum Industries Vice President of Sales. “Our goal is to continue to innovate our product line to best meet the needs of our customers. The Flex Lecterns are the next logical step in that pursuit.”
