10 States to receive $357 Million in Technology Grants

The United States Department of Commerce announced 10 American Recovery and Reinvestment Act investments this past week. The investments are designed to improve technological infrastructure, boost economic growth, create jobs & improve education and health care. 

The investments are in the form of 10 grants which will increase broadband access in California, Florida, Indiana, Louisiana, New York, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, and Wisconsin. This will bring high-speed Internet access and link up thousands of schools, hospitals, libraries and public safety offices. The grants total $357 million.
